A lockshield valve is the connection between the radiator and the return pipe. It is used to switch off the radiator for installation or maintenance and as an option can be used to balance the radiators in the system so that they all heat up at the same rate. The lockshield valve should be opened at increasing amounts the further the radiator is from the boiler.
Suitable for two-pipe, fully pumped systems up to 10 bar static pressure
